Very Sweet ride. It was my first 'cross bike after riding many different (both commercial and custom built) high-end road bikes for years. Pros - very comfortable, carbon fork matches well to a very rigid alum frame. Seat stay design is comfy and creates very little flex with canti-brakes, so the braking is very good given it is not discs. Geometry more relaxed is nice. Bottom bracket has good clearance. Good on trails - it is not a mountain bike, but once you get over the difference it is terrific on trails and very fast downhill. Wheels are surprisingly good for the crap they have ridden through. Nothing but a minor (very minor) truing needed on over 1500km of hard riding in two months despite the spoke pattern being potentially weaker with radial front and 2-cross rear, so they are quality items. Maybe the wheels are little heavy, but it's a cross bike and that investment has paid off for me. Weight overall is very nice for a low-spec bike. Easy to upgrade this frame if wanted. I love the extra brake levers for additional control on downhills. Cons: I would likely upgrade the 105 set-up. It is good but not as smooth as the higher end drivetrains I have gotten used to. Tires need an upgrade out the door. Knobs are great on trails only, but get something with a slicker center section for mixed riding. The money is not in the trim. I have worn out the bar tape that comes with it. Overall - Great bike. Corners were cut in the right places to hit the price point. Cheap stuff that comes with it is easily replaced, while the heart of the bike is not compromised. I'll be riding this bike for a long time, slowly upgrading what wears out as it happens. 5 stars would be perfect - at this price point you don't get perfection. But it's close. Value for the money is five stars.
