The most extreme variety of racing bike, track bikes are usually very narrow to be aerodynamic and extremely light. Some extreme measures are used to achieve this, such as no gears, no brakes and disc based wheels instead of spokes. Riders will often also wear an aerodynamic helmet to help them cut through the air. (more info)
