In short, a bicycle which will be able to take part in a XC race, and to follow you on all terrains during many years. Mission impossible? The unanimous recognition of specialized press confirms that our choices are the good ones! The very comfy position is appropriate for long distances, its light weight helps accelerations and limit tiredness. The Shamann is the fruit of a policy of efficiency. Why be overburdened with longer travel when the 100 mm of suspensions perfectly used by Shamann make wonder? The four points of pivots were wisely positioned to obtain a kinematics unsensitive to pedals effects that brings a devilish motricity and grip. Indeed, much brands tend to neglect grip of XC bicycles while this makes it possible to remain on the bicycle whatever the roughness of the terrain. The Monarch shock absorber was specially made for the Shamann in collaboration with Rock Shox, in order to offer shim stack that matches its kinematics. A bit more technical the very low ratio between the wheel travel and the shock absorber travel allows the use of low pressures and favorizes hydraulic. The result is a bicycle with an unusual grip while allowing an effective work of the suspensions and which does not bottom out in case of big impact due to speed! All the articulations use sealed annular bearings carried by anodized aluminium axles, pledge of reliability. The thicknesses of aluminium tubes Alpha Tubing are optimized for a weight/rigidity ratio without equivalent.
