Specialized says

Fun can be serious work. The reasons you might ride will vary: could be an "easy" Saturday ride with friends, a 6:00 a.m. commute to work, even a 600-mile, week-long charity ride. Regardless of why you're throwing a leg over a bike, you need one capable, comfortable machine that covers all the bases with efficiency and ease. The Sirrus is just that: a lightweight, head's-up road ride that helps you beat car-trapped commuters home with a measure of safety on the weekdays, yet is still light and efficient enough for a long spin on the weekend.

I have had this bike for about 6 months, averaging 70 miles a week.
Overall I am very happy. It is a nimble machine with a comfortable position, but the stiffness allows me to feel the contact with the road, which makes me feel more secure.
I use this bike almost exclusively for road riding (so, in hindsight I should have bought a pure road bike) but I don't feel that I have a significant disadvantage against a road bike of comparable price. In fact, I would say the Sirrus Sport is an excellent all-rounder, offering good performance for commuting, fast road riding and leisurely trips through the countryside.
I have had some creaking from the bearings but this seems to have sorted itself out.
The only down sides - the tyres are like tissue paper, to the point where I got 11 punctures in 10 rides. These absolutely need changing asap.
And the pedals are not the same spec as the rest of the bike and will need upgrading quickly.
Recommended.
