About Specialized Roubaix bikes
The carbon fibre framed Roubaix range is named after the one-day professional 'Paris-Roubaix' road race which takes riders over a number of gruelling sections of cobbled road or pavé as it's also know. With such harsh conditions to contend with the Roubaix range is engineered to offer a considered balance of comfort and speed. Roubaix frames also feature shaped seatstays with rubber 'Zertz' inserts to help absorb vibrations and further improve comfort and internal cable routing for clean lines and longer cable life. The Roubaix range of bikes is ideal for virtually any type or road riding from Sportives to training rides to club runs. If you're happy to compromise comfort for even more speed you should consider Specialized's race minded, carbon framed Tarmac range.
Specialized says
The smoother, faster Roubaix - named after the gruelling Paris-Roubaix race it has won three consecutive times - "is a high-performance, endurance-focused bike that s highly stable and efficient. The Comp features Shimano Ultegra compact gearing and our new DT-Axis 3.0 wheels for lower weight and higher performance."
