About Specialized Rockhopper bikes

One notch up from Specialized's entry level Hardrock range is the aluminium framed, hardtail Mountain Bike Rockhopper range which aims to strike a balance between price and performance. The higher specification components that feature on Rockhopper models over the cheaper Hardrock bikes translates to improved performance such as slicker gear shifting, more braking power and smoother suspension travel as well as components being generally more durable. Rockhopper models also feature 100mm travel suspension forks instead of the 80mm travel suspension forks on Hardrock models making them better suited to rougher trails. Rockhopper models are ideal for anything from cross country riding to more demanding singletrack trails.
