This is my second week with my ridgeback terrain mx5 2010
What a bike I never own or ride bike like this.I have had my
Friends giant xtc 4.5 for few days I can easily say ridgeback is more enjoyable to ride.
The bike is looking fantastic white frame black wheels its worth every
Penny that I pay.my only complaint is the white paint scratch very easily.

Oh dear!
I have just purchased a three month old MX5 from a very unhappy owner. Poor chap seems to have bought the 'friday afternoon' model we all dread. Worst fault was with the front forks which creak and groan with every bump and the toggle which locked the forks is so stiff it feels like it will snap off.
The grey paint has runs and sags and looks like it was left over stuff from ther Ark Royal.
The tyres are directional but the rear one is fitted back to front. Gears and brakes both badly set up. Dealer told him all these faults are 'normal'. I have contacted Ridgeback but the warranty is void as I am not the original purchaser. Can't be bothered to fix it up so I'll probably dump it on E-bay.

Bought this bike Monday 12th july. set off on the Scottish Borders loop on the 14th july. 250 miles later can not fault the bike. Was hit with every weather condition except snow. Bike took it all in its stride Everything worked perfect never let me down through, Dirt, rain ,Cow muck. Excellent brakes and gears , Superb bike

I'm into my forth week with my Ridgeback MX5 terrain and try as I may I cant find a fault in it at all! I have returned to cycling at age 55 and can still do some of the stuff I used to do as a lad around the Heathlands in Hampshire. This time its just gonna be cross country for photography and food gathering along with cross country commuting. This is an ideal bike for this purpose. Positive gearing that changes discretely and excellent breaks offering total control in all condisions I have encountered so far. The frame is rigid but comfortable and the front forks offer great control woth lock out and adjustable supenstion. It comes with good tyres that grip at all times on road, sand, gravel, leaves and grass/heather. Good purchase.

I have returned to cycling at age 55. I wasnt sure what I wanted but I knew that I needed a virsatile bike to take my photography equipment around over the heath lands we have here in East Hants. By chance my local dealer had the MX5 in stock and I could see straight away the its elegant strengths and solid design. I pondered for around 3 months but decided to give it a go. As soon as I picked up the bike and started to ride it I knew it was the right decision. It handles just about every situation I can muster up the courage to take it across and it nver slips a gear or throws me. The brakes are a major improvement on my past cycling and extremely efficient in all terrains. The whole bike just seems to be made for me! I use it daily to ride around our 6.5 mile track around the SPA. without a single complaint and find that as the bike beds in and the tyres wear in it just becomes a megasaur of a bike that I highly reccomend to anyone wishing for a good all rounder including commuting. Ridgeback should be congradulated on the work they have put into this bike.
