Sherpa was founded 35 years
ago; long before adventure travel became as widely
accepted as it is today, and long before the internet. We are
professional tour operators rather than an internet travel site.
Since our first offering in 1973 of a month in Nepal including
flights for less than $500 (alas no longer available!), we have
adapted and adjusted to our clients' needs. Retreating from some
areas as the mass market encroaches, Sherpa is constantly seeking
new approaches and destinations.
At present 75 per cent of our clients come to us through
recommendation or because they enjoyed their last holiday with us
so much. Our target is that 100 per cent of our clients come to us
without the need to advertise, and that is your guarantee of a
friendly service and an enjoyable holiday. We hope you will be
