Performance
This trailer is great for both getting away from it all and getting all your gear to work. For cross-country mountain bike treks the Ibex's rugged, fully adjustable suspension system performs excellently, and sort of like a very small caravan with no smelly chemical toilet to empty, you can stuff your life inside and tow it to your next exciting basecamp. This strong, cromoly steel trailer fits easily on to bikes with 26" wheels and over and 700c road bikes. Your tent, sleeping bag, mat, stove, food and kit up to 35kg is kept dry and secure inside the cavernous Dry Sak, just don't forget to bungee it down before you bounce over rocks and kerbs. Towing this 7.7kg trailer takes a bit of getting used to; I had to make sure I was in a lower gear than normal before I started pedalling, remember not to corner too sharply, and allow plenty of time for crossing roads in order to avoid my Ibex fighting for supremacy with oncoming lorries. I found it a brilliant petrol-saving option for when I had more things to take into work than I could cram into a backpack, so in annual fuel costs alone this trailer pays for itself and it's way more fun than sitting in the car.
