This simple lumo backpack cover must have saved my life by now. The Hump transforms my back into a fluorescent, reflective sign that can't fail to jolt the retinas of drivers approaching from behind. After four happy years of car-clash free commuting (touch wood), I now consider the Hump as essential as my helmet on my daily 12 mile road ride. You can attach it to any backpack you like with two elasticated strips that loop around your bag and popper back on to the Hump edges. On mine, one popper came off early on, but for 3½ years it has worked fine with the remaining strip, which actually makes it quicker to get on and off. I've used it on backpacks from 20-60 litres and even though on the larger sizes it can't cover the whole bag, its elasticated edge stops it flapping and you still get the high viz effect. And not only does the Hump shout "Cyclist ahoy!" to otherwise bike-blind vehicles. It is also waterproof, protecting your backpack and its contents from rain and mud, so it's great for mountain biking, running, and walking too.
