At a glance Having watched Emily’s progress with Steady Eddie, I’d certainly highly recommend one to any parent

Performance

When first introduced to the bike she was a little sceptical, with the same worries about falling. Once tempted onto Steady Eddie she appeared more comfortable than usual, as she found the handlebars didn't run away with her. After some very tentative first attempts with Nanna's steadying hand, she discovered Steady Eddie was easier to steer than her own scoot. It took a while of trying, but she started making more progress, and being more independent, than she had managed before.
On opening the box, steady Eddie looked great. Assembly was easy, so we then had to tempt Emily onto it. She rides bikes with stabilisers at nursery, but has always been a little unsure about her bike at home, which is also a 'scoot' style, like Steady Eddie. The immediately obvious difference, apart from not being pink aluminium, was the limited steering movement. Emily's balance hasn't developed much, so the fact that the handlebars can't move that far should help her.
With more practice, I'm sure Emily will progress quicker with Steady Eddie than she would with another bike. It appears well made, and being wood is very tactile, almost warm to the touch.
