I've had my Oakland for 18 months and done over 3500 miles on it, once you replace the bottom bracket, front crank/gear assembly and front mech (all wear out very quickly) with quality components it's a cracking bike that's easy to maintain. Tips for reliable biking - tighten your cone bearings every 6 months, regrease the bearings every 1000 miles, and change your chain when it starts to stretch and it should go on for ages. The steel frame is as strong as an ox and gives a great ride
