Paid £325 for this, my first road bike. Bought it after a triathlon on a mountain bike was a nightmare. Had it put together and bought some tri-bars for £25. The bike is comfortable, easy to ride and scary fast if you put a bit of effort into it. You could spend a fortune for a first bike but as a wise man once said"you still have to turn the pedals". I am loving this bike and did 40 miles today with no problems and the mechanics all seem reliable.
Every thing is easy to adjust and the STI gears are crisp and precise. The white tape on the bars will get dirty quickly but looks great out of the box.
Be not afraid. This bike offers excellent value for money.

This bike is bang on the money as a first road bike - and you can save big-time on the rrp price. I got a cheaper deal online - the bike arrived flat-packed but by the time I'd handed it over to a qualified bike mechanic for full assembly and adjustment, I'd still only spent £350. My local bike shop wanted £499. So for that kind of dough, I'm well impressed, even thought the last time I'd ridden a bike like this was 20 yrs ago - a Record Sprint. The 100 is a great machine to get back into cycling on - looks, and feels the part, nice and light, too.
