Freedom from lumo cycle wear with Vaude

Vaude LumoReflective cycle tops used to be all about lumo, with sunbright yellow, orange and silver the ultimate protection from cars (and members of the opposite sex). Safe, yes; cool, no. This spring however, Vaude's new range of lightweight, droptail waterproofs are set to free cyclists from the garish claws of the lumo beam with, dare we say it, cool and chunky blue or red trim on white and black or white trim on red jackets. By day these look like any other coloured stripes and present a pleasantly co-ordinate-able trim, but by night, they light up in the headlights and startle sleepy drivers enough to swerve around you. The basic Drop Jacket II starts at £95, the Spray Jacket II is £120 and the SkyFly pictured here is the top of the range 2.5 layer, packable, 202g waterproof at £150.
