This is a stunning bike that looks great folded and unfolded.
The bike's geometries give it a big bike feel when on the road, the only times it gives its size away is when you hit a pothole or your spinning out in top gear.
The fold is not as compact as the Brompton but then the Mezzo does not have the mid frame fold that the Brompton has.
The fold and unfold process quickly becomes second nature and when unfolding the handle bars are raised and then a quick flick of these to the left and the whole bike unfurls with a reassuring clunk as the rear locks in place and the front wheel engages. Just check the clamps are all tight, saddle at the right height (there is useful numbering on the seatpost) and away you go.
Useful additions
SJSC Ergo bar ends to make the most of the acceleration that small wheels offer
MKS Cube Ezy removable clipless peddles to make more efficient use of peddling but retaining the benefit of compact folded size when pedals removed (also added security!)
Blackburn rear view mirror
Minoura Swing Grip as the riser bars provide limited gadget space
Minoura Dual Bottle cage mount as there is nowhere to fit a bottle cage on the frame.
The 56t front chain ring and a useful 11-28 rear cassette enable quite quick cycling but you can find yourself occasionally spinning out. However 20+mph is easilly maintained and to be fair on 16inch wheels with skinny tyres I wouldn't want to hit a pothole or drainage grate any faster!
