About Marin

Marin County has some of the world's best riding and we continue to take our inspiration from the same earthquake faulted landscape that inspired the early pioneers. The Mountain remains the same, but the way we ride it and the lines we take have changed. Advances in materials and construction technology, as well as ever-evolving riding styles, mean that today's Marin bikes bear only a passing resemblance to their ancestors. One thing however still unites every Marin bike ever made - the outstan

Owner Reviews

by Conan  on 28 Dec 2009
Purchased this bike just before christmas at a local cycles uk store.
I have only used to so far for some light off road use around my area, as time of year has not permitted me to travel further afield.
Now the parts are not the highest spec, but it works beautifully for what i need it for. I am only a begginer cyclist, riding POS bikes in the past, and this is my first 'real' bike so to say.
I can tell you now, instead of buying that cheap bike, save up an extra few weeks and put your money into this, you will not be dissapointed!
The first thing i noticed, was how 'smooth' the ride felt compared to other bikes ive owned, and gear changes were so smooth at first i wasnt sure if they were changing, only to realise in fact it was altering my cadence and effort!
The brakes work excellent, as soon as i got the bike i was amazed at the braking, and i was amazed how light it was compared to other bikes ive rode!
All in all this is still only an entry level bike, but if you are like me and buying your first 'real' bike, as in not a department store one or cheapo POS, i can guarantee you will be overly happy with your purchase!
