Owner Reviews

by Roman  on 26 May 2010
I've owned the bike now for three months and absolutly love it. I'm originally a xc guy and bought the bike to do some back country shredding and jumping with some of the guys in my area. My xc bike was no good for this type of riding! The bike jumps great!!! Flights are level and landings are plush due to the nearly six inches of travel. I'm pretty new to the whole big air thing and the bike inspired confidence and added a new level of riding. I also have come up short on a few jumps and bailed pretty hard and the only thing damaged was me!!! The bike is supper strong and these hits would have folded my xc bike for sure. The bike climbs well considering it's nearly thirty pounds and getting back to the jumps is a pleasure not a chore. The bike rails corners like no other bike I have rode. The suspension is easy to set up due to the awsome geometry and every ajustment on the suspension gives a noticable change making super easy to set up for your syle of riding!!! Other reviews mention wheel flex from the FSA wheelset but I don't
notice any. Maybe the flex is due to the amount of g's you pull when stuffing this thing around a corner!!! It really does carve turns well and really easy to
ride fast downhill. My buddy was amazed I could keep up to him on his norco Aline on all but the biggest drops and roughest parts of our down hill. I give the bike a 5/5 and am now a loyal Kona rider. I also test rode a Cadabra and it felt really good but I haven't got
to spend to much time on it!!! As long as Kona keeps up this level of bike I will always own one!!!
