GT says

Outlast the batteries in your headlamp.

Riders who plan to spend long hours on the saddle don't need some ultra-light, super-stiff, high-performance ride. GT trail bikes are built with this in mind, giving riders who want to spend an entire day (and perhaps part of the night, too) on their bikes a ride that won't make them want to say uncle. And because it's a GT, reliability and durability go without saying. Which is a pleasant thought, if you've been carving single track for three plus hours...and find yourself some three hours from your car.

Early BMX frames were also easily identifiable as the top tube seemed to bisect the seat tube and protrude beyond it by approximately an inch-and-a-half towards the rear of the frame. This innovative idea was claimed to reduce the amount of vibration transferred to the seat fr
