Giant says

Featuring an all-new ALUXX alloy frameset, Seek can be summed up as the future of City Bike. It s practical, but fun. Brainy, but ready for adventure. Powerful disc brakes, fast-rolling tyres, durable frame guards and reflective styling for visibility set it apart from the crowd.

bought this bike from wiggle at much reduced price, here are my views.First off the idiot who slags this off in other reviews plainly does not know what he's talking about!! the bike looks stunnng in the flesh the finish is really good for not getting dirty the fork looks like a wrist breaker but is really nice to ride and tracks well the frame like wise is very comfy i took off standard bars and put on proper flats with bar ends but that is my preferred way of riding the parts i took off were own brand but ok. the chain is a revalation no stretch yet, two month's riding so far in awful weather up here in northumberland and it keeps it self clean!! now the gears no problems and a pleasure to use ,a vast improvement on nexus hub, near silent in use and very clean, which brings us to the rear of bike this is the third hub geared bike i've owned and this has the best rear hub setup i've seen you simply cannot put wheel on wrong way and getting wheel out is really simple (too the idiot yes you have to disconnect the gear cable to take wheel out of frame) there is a slight drag from hub but is a small price to pay for the gears being tucked away from road crap ,the brakes are giant's root gold edition and are i admit a bit dissappointing( they squeal like a pig on acid, i'm hoping as they wear in more things will improve ) lots of lever pull to stop i've had better but they are hydro. and better than rim brakes. the wheels are well built and strong and have taken a few pothole hits no problem tyres are maxxis dynomites very comfy and look good with the big sidewall lettering if you like that sort of thing! so all in all a very good bike to commute on, steers well ,comfy looks good, easy to clean and well specced if you can find the silver version( the black version looks like a backward step) snap it up zmf
