i purchased this bike to complete a london to paris charity bike ride, during training i managed to wear out the bottom bracket after 700 miles, the second bottom bracket lasted 850 miles before replacement. The cable outers were replaced within the first year as they had corroded and now the back wheel creaks due to the spokes being over stressed.
this bike is lower end of the market and the components show it, i would not buy one of these if you plan to do any serious miles.
