About Gary Fisher

Gary Fisher is truly one of the founding fathers of the sport of mountain biking. He began klunking his way into history by racing his modified cruiser down the rough fire roads of Marin California's Mount Tam. From this point on, Gary has led the mountain bike world down the path of innovation as he worked to make his intense personal vision a reality. From the development of the oversized headset and the first production bicycle with front suspension, to the creation of the Gary Fisher Two-Nin

Owner Reviews

I had the 2005 Marlin but the frame cracked and Gary Fisher gave me a fully set up 2009 model as replacement, so far so good. I have had to replace the forks on both models after less than a year’s usage. The rock shox darts can only really handle commuting and fire road – flatish XC. The bike is disk ready and i finally upgraded to hydro discs recently, I can’t believe i rode XC for so long on v-brakes. All in all this is okay if you’re not doing anything extreme riding. I’ve ridden 3 XC races on it and it faired reasonably. Don’t buy this if you want to thrash around the trails as you’ll get left behind by anyone with decent brakes and forks.
