Cross Country is an Olympic sport and very popular in its own right. It is more determined by the terrain than the bikes themselves, however generally the bikes are mountain bikes with very light weight frames and front/rear suspension. The tracks tend to cover rough/smooth forest paths and paths connecting various trails together. (more info)
