I recently picked one of these up for 250 pounds
Tiagra groupset performs way above average
Unbranded DBR2 wheelset is a burden and are heavy ,bearings rin very rough
And sound awful. The rubber boots on axles increase rolling resistance so much I have resorted to remove g them

Saddle is pretty poor and cannot be slid back very far
Truvativ touro compact crankset weights 870g w/o bottom bracket so it is very heavy
Tires and very hard and not grippy at all
Handle bar tape very thin and vibrations start getting to you fast
Tektro R730s are good and perform well. Brake pads are average
Handling is rather lazy at best
I have been pretty tough on this review
Overall though I am happy with the vanquish and would not be able to find the same spec bike for the same money

I bought a second hand Carrera £215 what a great bike, sturdy frame, great smooth gears and bar shiftters, Light and a pleasure to ride would recommend, Tecktro brakes very efficient

Decent entry level road bike. Bought one for £350 in Halfords Clearance sale in august 09 and have ridden regularly since then with no problems. Returing to serious cycling after a gap of 20 years, I wanted a bike to help me get fit and be fast enough to do a few respectable 10 mile time trials. For the price, I am entrirely happy with the bike - enjoyable to ride, fairly light with a good range of gears and feels stable and solid. At 5 feet 8 I found the handlebar stam a little long so have fitted shorter stem and tweaked things to get a good comfortable position on the drops for fast riding.

This was my introduction to road biking, and frankly cannot think of a bike more suitable for the job. A very nice biek with a light frame and carbon forks, yet looks very robust and is quite rigid. The wheelset is fine and the tiagra groupset is a dream, especially on a bike this price. The seat is comfortable and supportive, the anatomic handlebar feels snug on your palms. The brakes have a lot of feel. The continental tires are fantastic and very fast. For the price, you will not find anything better. I found a lightly used one on ebay for £300.
