Owner Reviews

by Gerard Derksen  on 28 Mar 2011
A very beautifull bike but also too expensive. The parts chosen by Cannondale are the cheaper parts (Tektro brakes, Shimano Deore chainwheel and derailleur and so on.
The Octopus trappers have to be replaced or the 3rd time in 6 months because of the poor quality of the bearings. The nano black finish of chain and cassette has disappeared very rapidly. These parts rust very quick now because of the absence of any coating.
If you lubricate them the lubricant reaches the rotor from the rear brake. Bolts and nipples of the spokes rust too. The front fender lacks a rubber protection against mud, is too short and therefore the underside the bike gets very dirty.
Once when I took my bike out of the garage the chain stopped turning and disturbed the front shifting gear. I also had to retighten the bearing of the steering.

Verdict: a beautifull expensive bike with poor quality.
