Owner Reviews

I wanted a hybrid that would be suited to road and canal paths ( I have 25 miles of made up paths on the doorstep). I got very disappointed when I tried out several hybrids with a rack and all bits included. This one came up on ebay and was in really excellent condition. The price was just a third of new (New= £1400) so for me it was the right price. I thought it had just nine gears, but I soon found another eighteen :)
Not having been on a treadly for 20 odd years and closing in on 60 years of age; I was not into all the tech stuff about. The disc brakes are awesome for stopping, the gears are silky smooth, I can not even hear the chain moving it is that whisper quiet. Very quick, easy to get up hills, light as a feather (it is to me anyway) finish is drop dead gorgeous, and all I have changed is getting rid of those stupid octopus pedals. I purchased really as a stop-gap until I found what I really wanted. My decision now is keep it and run it into the ground. I'm racking up a hundred miles a week and enjoy every single one of them.
My only criticism is .... why the hell did Cannondale stop production? I guess it must have been a flop. Heavens only knows why ....it is brilliant in every sense!
